Abstract
As a basic part linking component in the vehicle,it carries the complex load coming from the road and other parts. It is important to consider the stiffness and strength of the frame in the overall design.Modification design of the frame is a big part of a vehicle optimization and improvement. The three-dimensional model was made by CATIA.The bending and torsion condition of the frame were simulated by the HyperWorks, and the stress and displacement of the frame were obtained. The modal frequency was obtained by modal analysis with HyperWorks. The structure characteristics of the frame and the modified model were studied. The results support the modification feasibility.
