Abstract

Objective To explore the AIDS-related knowledge and attitude among college students in Wuhan,so as to provide the basic information for developing IEC intervention strategies in AIDS.Methods A self-designed questionnaire survey about AIDS-related knowledge and attitude was conducted among the college students in Wuhan.Results 92.2 percent college students in Wuhan were aware of the knowledge about AIDS;those having positive AIDS-related attitude were not of high percentage,only 31.3 percent of the respondents said that condom would be used when extramarital sex occurred,53.3 percent expressed their willingness to contact with HIV-infected people.Conclusions To carry out the publicity and education in the target population,the content should be modified from purely intellectual propaganda in the past,into a knowledge-based information together with the belief-changing education.
