Anaiysis on distribution and drug resistance of 131 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii

Objective To investigate the distribution and drug resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii,and to provide evidence for the effective treatment of infectious diseases.Methods Walkaway-96 were used to identify pathogens and antimicrobial susceptibility.Results Among specimens from which acinetobacter baumannii was isolated,sputum accounted from 65.3%.Secondly,they were isolated from secretion(12.3%) and urine sample(6.9%).Acinetobacter baumannii was maninly distributed in department of neurosurgery,next was department of respiration and intensive care unit.The drug resistance of acinetobacter baumannii was serious.The drug resistance of acinetobacter baumannii to imipenem was 24.1% and its resistance to other antimicrobial agents was more than 50%.Conclusion Acinetobacter baumannii shows high rate of resistance to routine antimicrobial agents and even muitiple drug resistance,and periodic survelliance should be done to learn the drug resistence and bacterial distribution.Therefore,it can provide the basis for clinic to use antibiotics rationally.
