Clinical analysis of heart failure combined with ventricular electrical storm

Objective To summarize and analyze the etiology,clinical manifestations and treatments of heart failure combined with ventricular electrical storm. Methods A total of 6 patients with 2 attacks of ventricular tachycardia and fibrillation within 24 hours were treated with comprehensive therapies including internal medical treatments,electric defibrillation,and antiarrhythmic treatment.Results Six patients were averagely treated with 15 times electric defibrillation.Five patients were treated with amiodarone;meanwhile,3 patients were treated with intravenous injection of Bataloc,and 1 patient orally took it.Of 5 patients,2 patients had withdrawal of amiodarone;2 patients were treated with an increased potassium and magnesium supplement,and had withdrawal of amiodarone,and received intravenous injection of atropine and lidocaine;1 patient was given intravenous injection of esmolol. Conclusion Beta receptor blockers have marked effects,while amiodarone alone has limited effects.It is proved that amiodarone combined with beta receptor blockers has good effects in treating ventricular electrical storm.
