Abstract
Objective: To study the effect of Berberine hydrochloride on the proliferation of kinds of carcinoma cell lines. Methods: Carcinoma cell lines including Hep-G2 cell,Hela cell and MCF-7 cell were treated with different concentrations of Berberine hydrochloride respectively. The cells proliferation were evaluated by MTT assay. Results: The three kinds of carcinoma cell lines were inhibited by Berberine hydrochloride in a dose-dependent manner from 5μg·ml-1 to 50μg·ml-1.Conclusion: Berberine hydrochloride can inhibit the proliferation of some carcinoma cells. It is suggested that Berberine hydrochloride may be a potential antineoplastic agenls.
