Abstract

OBJECTIVE To investigate the related factors of urinary tract infections in hospitalized patients in order to provide the reference for the prevention and control of urinary tract infections.METHODS The clinical data of 205 inpatients with urinary tract infections were retrospectively analyzed.Logistic regression analysis of related factors was performed.RESULTS Among 205 cases of urinary tract infection patients,196 strains of pathogens were detected, including 97 strains(49.49%) of gram-negative bacilli,61 strains(31.12%) of gram-positive bacilli and 38 strains(19.39%) of fungi.Logistic regression analysis indicated urinary tract infections were significantly associated with the following factors:age, duration of indwelling catheter placement, invasive procedures and white blood cell count.CONCLUSION It is necessary to timely explore and control the related factors for urinary tract infections in hospital, and strengthen the implementation of disinfection and isolation system, both of which are of great important in/reducing urinary tract infections.
