Abstract
OBJECTIVE To establish a HPLC method for the determination of entrapment efficiency of paclitaxel solid lipid nanoparticles(paclitaxel solid lipid nanoparticles,PTX-SLN).METHODS The SLN and free drugs were separated by sephadex filtration, ultracentrifugation and mini-column centrifugation. The methodology study and the optimization of determining condition were carried out.RESULTS Mini-column centrifugation could effectively separate the PTX-SLN from free drugs. The column recovery was 98.23%,the average entrapment efficiency was 94.07%,with RSD of 0.78%.CONCLUSION The method is quick, accurate and feasible. It call be used to determine the entrapment efficiency of PTX-SLN.
