Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation of the CT perfusion parameters with microvessel density(MVD) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) before and after treating by high-intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) in rabbit VX2 liver tumor model and to explore MSCT perfusion imaging evaluating liver tumor angiogenesis in vivo. Methods Thirty rabbit VX2 liver tumor models were divided into control group and treatment group. The treatment group was given HIFU therapy. Both groups underwent MSCT perfusion scan and the perfusion parameters were obtained and analyzed.Expressions of VEGF and MVD were determined by immunnohistochemical techniques. The correlation of perfusion parameters with MVD and VEGF were analyzed. Results Perfusion parameters,MVD and VEGF in treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group. There was significant positive correlation between MVD and VEGF,and also between the value of HBF,PS,HAI and MVD,VEGF,while no correlation was observed between the value of MTT,HBV and MVD,VEGF.Conclusion There was significant correlation between perfusion parameters and MVD,VEGF.The perfusion parameters can be used to evaluate tumor angiogenesis in vivo.
