Abstract

Objective To investigate changes in plasma atrial natrinretic peptides(ANP),endothelin-1(ET-1),before and after treatment in patients with diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods The content of plasma ANP and ET-1 were measured in 43 DN cases and 20 normal control cases using radioimmunoassary. Results The plasma levels of ET-1 and ANP were significantly increased in the patients with DN compared with those in the controls(P0.05).The plasma levels of ET-1 and ANP after treatment were significantly lower than that before therapy. The plasma levels of ET-1 and ANP in treatment group were lower than those in routine group after treatment for 12 months(P0.05).Conclusion The plasma levels of ET-1 and ANP may be related with diabetic nephropathy.
