Abstract
Effects of deformation-aging on the microstructures and mechanical properties of Al-Cu -Li alloy containing Sc were studied by observation of microstructures and tensile test at room temperature. The results show that pretension before aging can greatly improve tensile properties of the alloy,And can make aging peak occur early and T1(Al_2CuLi) precipitation distribute more dispersively and homegenously. The strength of the alloy improves with the increasing of pretension, but over pretension leads to coarsening T1 phase and its distribution, which causes the strength of the alloy decreasing. The favorable pretension is about 3.5% under the experiment conditions.
