Abstract
Based on the deflection test on different axle load-different tire pressure in different pavement situation, This paper has analyzed and validated the rationality of axle load equivalent formula which shows in the pavement design specifications.The test have been done on a same pavement structure in two situation-one is no axle load applied and another have been applied 452,000 140kN axle load cycles.The pavement structure is 6cm asphalt concrete surface with 20cm semi-rigid base.According to the test results, it was concluded that for the semi-rigid base asphalt pavement studied, the effect of increasing axle load is more serious than increasing tire pressure.
