Abstract
A new method of flow injection on-line solid phase extraction pre-concentration sys-tem for Pb determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry(FAAS) was adopted.Trace amounts of lead in the water sample was chelated by xylenol orange and exchanged in the strong al-kalescent negative ion exchange resin column, and then eluted by nitric acid. The lead content was determined by flow injection-flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The working parameters and chemical conditions were discussed and optimized.Interferential experiments with familiar ions in natural water were done. The detection limit was 11.1 ng/mL and the relative standard deviation of this method was 1.80%.The recovery was 96.2% ~ 103.8%.
