The correlation between expression of VEGF-C and its receptor with lymph node metastasis in breast cancer.

Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of VEGF-C and its receptor(VEGFR-3 and LVD) in human breast carcinama tissue in order to determine whether there is cirrelation between expression of them and its clinical pathological characteristics,metastasis.Methods The expression of VEGF-C and ts receptor were tested with SP immunohistochemical analysis in 83 breast cancerous specimens.Results The positive rate of VEGF-C in breast cancerous tissue was 43.3%(36/83),The positive rate of VEGF-C in lymph-node positive group(59.4%) were significantly higher than that in lymph-node negative group(30.8%,P0.05).The expression of VEGF-C was positively correlated with lymph node metastasis.There is significant difference in expression of LVD between VEGF-C-positive group and negative group.The expression of VEGF-C was positively correlated with LVD(r=0.367,p0.05).Conclusion Overexpression of VEGF-C in human breast cancer may promote the production of lymphatic tube.So expression of VEGF-C is closely associated with lymphatic metastasis in breast cancer.
