Discussion of Wang Jing-gong's Poem Variorum by Shen Qin-han

Shen Qinhan in Qing Dynasty excelled in research on Confucian classics,and he used this special advantage in poetry annotation.Shen Qinhan remedied the error and omission of Wang Jing-gong's poem variorum written by Li Bi in detail.Firstly,Shen Qinhan extended the connotation of demonstrating poem using history from Song Dynasty on,and shifted the discussion emphasis from only discussion to discussion and textual research.Besides,he still elaborated figures and current events in the poetic themes and verses written by Wang Anshi.Secondly,he put emphasis on the interpretation of specific history nouns in geography and political systems,and remedied sentence meaning and context written by Wang Anshi.In addition,Shen Qinhan also excelled in poetry creation,and annotated the classical allusion in the poetry written by Wang Anshi.Wang Jing-gong's poem variorum takes an important position in the history of researching Wang Anshi.
