Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of high-voltage electrostatic therapy on sleep disorder in the elderly. Methods 31 elderly cases(66~92 years) with sleep disorder were treated with high-voltage electrostatic therapy for 10~15 d.They were assessed with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) before and after the intervention. Results The global score and all the subscale scores of PSQI decreased(P0.01) after intervention. Conclusion The high-voltage electrostatic therapy is effective on sleep quality.
