Abstract

In Jialong period,Ming Dynasty,the north-west frontier frequently violated by the Mongolian Altan.The capital was in imminent danger.After Gao Gong was in power,on the one hand,he took great efforts in consolidating the construction of the frontier;on the other hand,taking advantage of Bahannaji's capitulation,prevailed over all dissenting views and adopted Wang Chonggu's suggestion——more aiding,less fighting.Finally Altan gave up and put down the rebellion led by Zhao Quan.Altan Feng Gong released the potential danger in the north-west,making the Han and Mongolian live harmoniously together for more than 30 years.And it is thought highly by politicians and historians in Ming and Qing Dynasty.
