Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus antipyretic oral liquid in treating exopathic fever. Method Two hundred and twenty-five patients were randomly allocated to two groups. The treatment group of 120 cases received acupuncture plus antipyretic oral liquid. The control group took orally vitamin C yinqiao tablets and Folium Isatidis tablets; the children could take isatis root granules orally and if necessary receive intravenous drip. The therapeutic effects were evaluated in both groups after 5 days’ treatment. Results The total efficacy rate was 97.5% in the treatment group and 77.1% in the control group; there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture plus antipyretic oral liquid has a better therapeutic effect on exopathic fever.
