A Comparative Study of the Overseas Chinese Investment and the Foreign Investment in the Mainland of China from 2005 to 2008

Abstract

A study of China's recent FDI data and the data from the Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs under the State Council reveals that the overseas Chinese enterprises and their investment have enjoyed a much faster development than foreign enterprises and investment.There are some changes in their investment like the reduction of investment in manufacturing industry.These enterprises have benefited from the quick economic development of China and become more competitive in the world.Thus,the governments concerned should work out good policies for their further development.
