Effect of percutaneous cervical nucleoplasty in the treatment of cervical vertigo

Objective To observe the effect of percutaneous cervical nucleoplasty(PCN) in treating cervical vertigo. Methods Fifty-one patients with cervical vertigo were treated by PCN in our hospital from January 2010 to February 2014,the improvement of vertigo and sympathetic symptoms were evaluated according to the numeric rating scale(NRS) and the modified Macnab evaluation criterion after surgery. Results The vertigo and sympathetic symptoms of 47 patients were relieved immediately after surgery and at the final follow-up,the NRS score of vertigo symptom at the final follow-up was significantly reduced(P0.01). Conclusion The PCN is a kind of safe and efficacious minimally invasive surgical technique for cervical vertigo.
