Abstract
Objective:To investigate efficacy of ultraviolet(UVC) on prevention the abdominal incision from fat liquefaction in the obstetrics and gynecology department.Methods:A total of 120 patients were randomly divided into treatment group(58 cases) and control group(62 cases).Radiation therapy was applied to patients in the treatment group from the 1st day after surgery by shortwave ultraviolet instrument,and then they were treated with conventionally dry dressing until healing.While cases in the control group received conventional dry dressing only.The incidence of fat liquefaction,healing rate at stageⅠ and healing time were observed and compared.Results:The healing time of treatment group [(10.18±2.96) days] was significantly shorter than the control group [(13.73±3.24) days](P0.001).The healing rate at stageⅠ in treatment group was significantly higher than that in control group(P0.001).Incidence of fat liquefaction in treatment group(1.72%) was significantly lower than that of the control group.Conclusions:Ultraviolet(UVC) could prevent the abdominal incision from fat liquefaction.
