Abstract
On the basis of the inquiry investigation of supply chain management from 100 manufacturing enterprises in China, this paper has made careful analysis over the status quo of supply chain in China with respect to the relations between the suppliers, the relations between the clients, the outsourcing of logistics services and the supply chain operating performance. As a result, the paper has concluded that most of the enterprises under investigation have become aware of the importance of the supply chain management and has therefore made the following suggestions:1. to make corresponding changes in the enterprise organizational structure so as to satisfy the requirements for the supply chain management; 2. to introduce and foster supply chain management talents; 3. to select appropriate partners so as to form practical strategic alliance relationship; 4. to establish complete advanced information system and apply high-level supply chain management software; 5. to put stress on essential competitive power and strengthen competitive advantages through outsourcing; and 6. enterprises to possess the strategic foresight of global supply chain.
