A Study of Countermeasures to Promote the Specialization of College Teachers in China

At present the theoretical research and practical probe into the specialization of college teachers in China is nearly a blank and there still exist many problems in the professional development of teachers.Therefore,to promote the specialization of college teachers in China,it is necessary firstly to strengthen the pre-service training of college teachers by depending on top universities;secondly effectively improve the effectiveness of pre-service training of teachers by taking the qualification training center for college teachers as its organization;thirdly intensify the sense of self-development of teachers by taking the construction of specialty as its basis;fourthly,strengthen the capacity of teacher education and teaching practice by using the teaching research as its form;fifthly develop the research capability of teachers by using the project research as its carrier.Meanwhile,the government should ensure the smooth implementation of the specialization of college teachers in terms of policies and systems.
