Abstract
A new Ni(II) compound has been obtained from hydrothermal reaction of nickel(II) nitrate with mixed ligands [isophthalic acid(1,3-H2BDC) and dipyrido[3,2-d:2′,3′-f]quinoxaline(Dpq)],and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The result reveals that the compound belongs to monoclinic system with P2(1)/c space group. The cell parameters are: a=0.715 98(9) nm,b=1.606 0(2) nm,c=2.410 6(3) nm,Mr=612.15,β=98.482(2)°,V=2.741 5(6) nm3,Z=4,Dc=1.551 g·cm-3,F(000)=1 268.0,μ=0.779 mm–1,R1=0.049,wR2=0.129 9.The Ni(II) is coordinated with two nitrogen atoms of one Dpq molecule, one oxygen atom from bridging ligand,1,3-H2BDC and three oxygen atoms of water molecules, respectively, rendering a six-coordinate mode in a distorted octahedral geometry. The compound forms 2D supramolecular network through hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions. The cyclic voltametric behavior of the compound was also investigated.
