Abstract

A two-dimensional supermolecular compound,[Cu(Dpq)(CO3) ]was obtained from the hydrothermal reaction with ligand dipyrido[3,2-d:2',3'-f]quinoxaline(Dpq),and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.Result reveals that the compound belongs to the monoclinic system with space group P21 / m.The cell parameters are:a = 4.865(5),b = 13.729(5),c = 9.193(5),β = 95.653(5),V = 611.0(7)3,Z = 2,R1 = 0.0242,wR2 = 0.0711.Crystal structure analysis reveals that the CuII ions are coordinated to two N atoms of Dpq ligand, and further connected by the carbonate to form one-dimensional chain. The adjacent one-dimensional chains are extended into two-dimensional supramolecular network. The fluorescent property of the compound has been investigated.
