Abstract

Objective:To investigate the distribution and drug resistance of clinical acinetobacter strains in our hospital. Methods: Drug resistance of acinetobacter strains from Jan.2008 to Dec.2008 were analyzed. The strains were identified and drug susceptibility was tested by BD Phoenix automated microbiology system.Results:360 strains were isolated from sputum.32.6% acinetobacter strains were from respiratory department, followed by the intensive care unit and the neonatal department(12.9%).The drug resistance of acinetobacter baumannii to colistin, impenem, meropenem was 0.78%,6.01% and 1.57% respectively.Acinetobacter lwoffi was more sensitive to some antimicrobial agents than Acinetobacter baumannii. Conclusion:Clinical acinetobacter mainly comes from the sputum and respiratory department. The resistant rate is high.We should enhance the surveillance of antimicrobial resistance and choose proper antimicrobial agents.
