Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of B-Lynch and reformed B-Lynch suture on treating post-partum hemorrhage with atony in cesarean. Methods A retrospective study was carried out to analyze the curative effect of the B-Lynch and reformed B-Lynch suture technique in 15 patients of postpartum hemorrhage with uterine atony form December 2002 to December 2008.Results Uterus were reserved successfully in 14 cases, the lochia was normal after operation. The follow-up of 1 to 2 months shows that the uterus became normal checked by B-ultrasonic and the menstruation was normal.4 cases had successful pregnancies and term cesarean again. The subtotal hysterectomy was performed only in one case with shock in delivery. Conclusion B-Lynch suture and reformed B-Lynch suture are simple, safe and effective surgical technique for post-partum hemorrhage with atony in cesarean. It has the advantage of preserving the uterus and thus fertility.
