Abstract

Deng Xiao ping's strategic thoughts, conceived against the broad background of the peace and development of China as well as the whole world, are an integrated whole in itself. This scientific system of Deng Xiao ping's strategic thoughts consists of the following three parts: the national development theory centering around the construction of socialist modernization, the national defense theory advocating peace and development, and the national security theory stressing the forming of a favourable atmosphere both at home and abroad.
