Analysis of umbilical artery blood flow measurement in predicting fetal hypoxia and perinatal fetal outcome

Abstract

Objective:To analyze clinical significances of umbilical artery blood flow measurement for the prediction of fetal hypoxia in early diagnosis of fetal hypoxia and perinatal fetal monitoring.Methods:A total of 174 pregnant women admitted to our hospital for prenatal examination and deliveries from January 2011 to April 2012 were enrolled.Color Doppler umbilical artery blood flow detector were utilized to measure umbilical artery blood flow,and those with abnormal blood flow were set as abnormal group,while normal ones were set as control group.Association of umbilical artery blood flow to fetal hypoxia degree and pregnancy outcomes were observed.Results:Abnormal group showed fetal hypoxia,and it has significantly higher incidence rate of perinatal fetus bad outcome than control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Prenatal umbilical artery blood flow measurement enables awareness of fetal placenta circulation state,exerting a positive role in early diagnosis and efficacy assessment of fetal hypoxia together with perinatal fetal prognosis.
