The Introduction Cultivation of Blueberry and Its Utilization Evaluation in Guizhou

6 and 12 blueberry varieties were introduced and propagated in Guizhou Botanical Garden and Majiang county,Guizhou respectively to study its cultivation and reproductive techniques.The results showed that the introduction survival rate in Guizhou Botanic Garden and Majiang county was 87.5% and 84.6% separately,the transplanting survival rate of large saplings is higher than small saplings,the growth vigour of nursery stocks was good,the branch growth and blossom performance is normal and the fruit quality is better.The main cultivation measure for its high-yield and good quality is including enhancing the field management and pruning timely and rationally,planting saplings in the soil with pH 4.8 and with 2 m×(1.2～1.6)m of planting density.The blueberry is good fruit tree for planting on the acidity red and yellow soil in Guizhou mountainous areas.The demonstration cultivation,production management and development trend of blueberry are discussed according to the natural climate conditions and agricultural planting divisions and the experiment results.
