Abstract

Modbus communication protocol has been widely applied in electric power automation and process control as a kind of industry criterion. But Modbus information can not operate in the conditions of Internet or Intranet which support TCP. By using of a method of combination of the Modbus and TCP, instrument drive programn based on Modbus/TCP was developed, and all the functions of Modbus were realized. This method has been applied in Schneider instrument groups and its reliability and feasibility was verified.
