Abstract

CORBA and XML are two prevalent technologies in distributed systems. Both of them are platform and language-independent, open and extensible. CORBA achieves the interoperability between heterogeneous systems while XML achieves the identity in representing and manipulating data in various platforms. Integrating these two complementary technologies will prompt the development of distributed computing. This paper prospected possible integration of CORBA and XML and then introduced a model combining CORBA and Web based on XML.
