Abstract
CORBA and XML are two technologies widely used in the field of distributed systems. This article firstly gives a brief introduction to CORBA and XML,and points out that CORBA and XML are mostly complementary, then discusses the points of applying XML in CORBAbased distributed systems. By combining CORBA and XML,the flexibility and extensibility of the CORBAbased distributed systems can be improved.
