A Survey of the Ancient Battlefields in Jinyang

Hedong(the east side of the Yellow River)-Shanxi region is located in the significant and strategic position with sound strategic situation,which has close relations with the nation's security and prosperity. Jinyang,as the centre of Hedong-Shanxi region,is a place contested by all strategists of the military,The mil- itary events happened in Jianyan for over fifty times in the history,The paper is centered on the battlefields of wars on the large scale,experiencing a long time and with historical significance such as War of Jinyang in Spring and Autumn Period by Jin Siqing,Jinyang War of Resistance in Western Jin by Liu Kun,the Defending War of Jinyang in Tang Dynasty by Li Guangbi,War of Taiyuan in Later Tang and Later Jin in Five Dynasties, and War of Jinyang in Song Dynasty,Nanping and Northern Han,in which the document literature and investi- gation reports of field work are provided.
