A Study on Extraction Technology of Cotton Seed Oil

Abstract

The cotton seed oil was extracted by using cotton seed kernel as raw material and hexane as solvent.The effect of the ratio of material to solvent,extraction time,temperature of extraction on cotton seed oil extraction rate were studied through the single factor and the orthogonal experiment.The optinal conditions of oil extraction were as follows:the ratio of material to solvent 1∶4.0,temperature 60 ℃,extraction time 180 min.The dissociation gossipol content of unrefined oil was analyzed,the content of dissociative gossipol was less than 0.02%.
