Abstract

Through single factor and orthogonal experiments, extraction of oil from cotton seed were studied. Some influence factors on the extraction ratio of the oil were discussed. These factors involved the choice of extraction solvent, the ratio of cotton seed and extraction solvent, temperature and time of extraction. The optimal conditions of extraction were showed as following: extracting temperature 55 ℃, the ratio of raw solvent volume(mL)to material weight(g)3 ∶1, extracting time 3 h, extracting times 3, under the conditiors, the extraction rate could be high as 22.376%.
