Abstract

Objective:To investigate the inhibition of different concentrations of matrine on Proliferation of human gastric cancer cell line NCI-N87 cultured in vitro.Methods:NCI-N87 cells were treated by matrine in different concentrations and variablc durations.Cell growth and proliferation were observed by CCK-8 assay.Morphological changs of cell were observed, and cell-DNA distribution was assayed. Results:When the drug concentration was higher than 3.0mg/ml,the major effect was cell mecrosis.Matrine in the concentrations from 0.5mg/ml to 2.0mg/ml could inhibit proliferation of NCI-N87 cells as reveled by CCK-8 assay.Increase in the percentage of Gl phase cell was observed by flow cytometry. Conclusion:Matrine can inhibit the proliferation of human gastric cancer cell line NCI-N87 efficiently by affecting the cycle of cells.
