The Three Reforms in Modern China: Reflection on Mode of Transitional Society

In modern history of China, there were three important reforms launched by the governments to meet the challenge of western civilizations: Westernisation Movement, the Reform Movement of 1898, and new policies of late Qing dynasty. In view of a transitional society and its mode, the three important reforms in modern Chinese history bear the similarity that the reform today experiences. Thus, they could serve as a source of experiences and lessons for the contemporary reform.
