Autonomous Learning Ability Cultivation of English Learners in Colleges

This paper analyzes the extrinsic factors effecting the autonomous learning ability of the English learners,the intrinsic factors including self-esteem,notion,attitude,motivation and so on of the learners,and the obstacles of weak autonomy,less learning space,and limited conditions.It puts forward approaches to cultivate learners' autonomous learning ability,and points out that teachers should play the role as students' cooperator,guide,coordinator,and interlocutor.
