Clinical comparative analysis of postoperative visual acuity and corneal astigmatism after two kinds of small incision cataract operation

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of postoperative visual acuity and corneal astigmatism after two kinds of small incision cataract operation.Methods Sixty-one patients with cataract were selected in the hospital from January 2011 to August 2012 in our hospital.Total eyes were 76,which were treated with phacoemulsification and intraoc ular lens implantation.According to the operation incision,eyes were divided into two groups.38 eyes treated with upper part clear corneal tunnel incision as the control group.38 eyes treated with temporal side clear corneal tunnel incision as the observation group.Uncorrected visual acuity and corneal astigmatism were compared between two groups in the preop erative,postoperative 1 week,postoperative 1 month,postoperative 3 months,postoperative 6 months.Results Uncorrected visual acuity in the observation group were significantly higher than the control group after operation 1 week,1 month,3 months,6 months.Corneal astigmatism in the observation group were significantly smaller than the control group after op eration 1 week,1 month,3 months,6 months.The differences were statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusion In phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation,clinical effect of temporal side clear corneal tunnel incision is better than upper part clear corneal tunnel incision.Postoperative visual acuity is better,while corneal astigmatism is less.
