Abstract
The indexes of chlorophyl-a, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, permanganate value and transparency, which are as the tokens of water eutrophication, are used to evaluate Menlou Reservoir water eutrophication by means of quantitative analysis. The results show that the total nitrogen is the most dominating polluter. Furthermore, the cause of the pollution leading to the reservoir eutrophication has been found, the leading pollution source is surface source pollution. Finally, the countermeasure of controlling Menlou Reservoir eutrophication is discussed.
