Abstract

Some problems concerning the adjusting functions used in Thompson method and Tomas method for grid generation is pointed out; and the disadvantage of assumption of boundary lines being locally straight for Thomas's method is overcome. A group of a new adjusting functions are obtained via the strict deductions. The curvilinear grid generation examples are given. The real example tests indicate that the grids can be formed for simple connected regions and multi-connected regions with complicated boundary, that is the curvilinear grids near boundaries are orthogonal and the interior grids can be adaptive to the variation of physical parameters field.
