Abstract
In using Poisson equation to generate curvilinear grids,how to determine the suitable adjusting factors P、Q function is an important research item in the grid generation technique. This paper suggests a new method for forming P、Q function. This method directly uses the distribution information along the boundary grid nodes to control the distribution of grid nodes within the region. Accordingly,the generated orthogonal curvilinear grids are satisfactory. This method is of great practical value in 2 D flow velocity fields of complicated boundaries of numerical simulation of river courses and lakes,etc.
