Abstract
As the social capital theory has an explanatory power in the field of economic and social development,it's known as a new idea of resolving social contradictions.Taking Huagou village as an example,the paper analyszes the current situation of social capital in rural community of Western China from four aspects as following: the trust,participation in networks,shared norms and the level of participation and cooperation.Hence the author puts forward some corresponding measures:organizing various community activities;strengthening the construction of community organizations,the construction of community systems and the construction of community media so as to provide a better environment for the social captial.
