Intrasinusal pyelolithotomy and nephrolithotomy in the treatment of renal complex calculi

Objective To discuss the open operative method in the treatment of renal complex calculi.Methods The data of 38 cases treated with intrasinusal pyelolithotomy and nephrolithotomy were analysed.Results The calculi were removed in all patients whose renal function recovered fully.Small calculi were left over in 6 cases and urine leakage occurred in 2 cases.Nephrectomy was performed in 1 patients with postoperative bleeding.Conclusion The advantages of the procedure are simple,less bleeding and preservation of renal function.This method is suitable for renal complex calculi.
