Clinical analysis of the open surgery methods for complexity renal calculi

Abstract

Objective To summarize the efficacy and experience on open surgery in management of complex renal calculi.Methods Clinical data of 63 cases with complex renal calculi were retrospectively analyzed.Results Lithotomy was successful in all cases with an average operation time of 148 minutes.There was no blockage of renal pedicle in all cases during operation.Blood transfusion during the procedure was required in 8 cases with an average of 260 ml.The residual stone rate was 7.9%.Conclusion The intrasinusal pyelolithotomy is an easy and safe operation.
