Abstract

Objective:To observe the effects of PNS on CTGF in Diabetic rats and protection on kidney, and explore its possible functional mechanism.Method:Diabetic rats were induced by STZ,divided into DM group,PNS group, and AG group randomly,And normal control group were divided into simultaneously.PNS group were intragastric administered with PNS at 100mL·kg-1·d-1,AG group were administered with AG at 100mg·kg-1·d-1,normal control group and DM group were administered with isotonic Na chloride at 1mL·100g-1·d-1.The administration duration was 8 weeks. At each group of rats, the following items were measured:blood glucose, kidney weight/body weight, urinary protein amount in 24h,renal hypertrophy index number, glomcrulus volume, the variation of GF.Results:① Blood glucose of STZ-induced diabetic rats increased obviously(P0.01),There's no marked difference on blood glucose among PNS,AG,DM groups(P0.05).② The 24h urinary protein quantity was much heightened in DM groups compared to NC group(P0.01),but no marked difference between PNS and AG groups(P0.05).③The kidney weight was reduced in DM group compared to NC group(P0.01),and no marked difference between PNS and AG groups(P0.05).MGA and MGV were increasing in DM group compared to NC group(P0.05);and reduced in PNS and AG groups compared to DM group(P0.05);but no marked difference between PNS and AG groups(P0.05).④ CT GFmRNA was obviously increased in DM group compared to NC group(P0.01),and reduced in PNS and AG groups compared to DM group(P0.05);but no marked difference between PNS and AG groups(P0.05).Conclusion:PNS had such functions as reducing urinary protein, inhibiting, decreasing CT GF,There's no marked difference compared to western medicine AG.
