Abstract

The Buddhist flavor in Wang Wei’s pastoral poems is an indication of the poet’s wisdom. The influence of Buddhism on Wang Wei can be found in his thoughts and his view of life. Wang’s poems are poems with Buddhist implications but not carriers of Buddhist doctrines.
