Abstract

Acid ionic liquid [(CH2)4SO3HMIM][HSO4] was prepared and was used as the catalyst for transesterification of waste cooking oil to biodiesel.The influence of reaction time,reaction temperature,molar ratio of methanol to oil,mole ratio of reagent to oil on transesterification was investigated.The results showed that acid ionic liquid [(CH2)4SO3HMIM][HSO4] exhibited good catalytic activity in transesterification of waste cooking oil to biodiesel,and the transesterification rate of 92.13% was attained under the optimum condition as follows:reaction time 4 h,reaction temperature 140 ℃,molar ratio of methanol to oil 12,and molar ratio of reagent to oil 0.08.The as-prepared biodiesel met the requirement of China biodiesel quality specification——GB/T20828-2007 Biodiesel blend stock(BD100) diesel engine fuels.
