Abstract
Biodiesel was prepared from rapeseed oil by transesterification with methanol under the catalysis of ionic liquid [Hmim]HSO4.The effects of reaction conditions were studied by orthogonal experiment,the acidity and stability of ionic liquid [Hmim]HSO4 were also investigated.The optimum reaction conditions were obtained as follows:n(methanol) ∶n(rapeseed oil) ∶n(ionic liquid) =8∶1∶0.08,temperature 150℃,time 5 h.The conversion rate of biodiesel reached 95% under the optimum reaction conditions.The results showed that ionic liquid [Hmim]HSO4 possessed stronger acidity,it was stable and could be recycled.The quality of prepared biodiesel matched the ASTM PS121-99 standard.
