Abstract
TiC/Fe composite is obtained by the method of electromagnetic induction melting-infiltration,using titanium wire as raw materials of reinforcement. The microstructure,wear-resistance of TiC/Fe matrix composites are analysed, the results show that TiC/Fe matrix composites are got by in-situ reaction, and the TiC particles distributes along the Ti wires evenly. The TiC particles are in the shape of small cubic and dendrite shape with particle sizes in the range of 2~6μm.The mechanical properties and wear-resistance of the TiC/Fe composite is better than the matrix's.
